Royal Drawing School: Dumfries House Residency
July 2023 (Cumnock, Scotland)
I spent the summer experimenting in response to a new archive I developed around abstraction, horticulture, and ways of communicating through unknown symbols. I was inspired by the rural landscape and gardens, the club nightlife culture, and many stone artifacts at the National Museum of Scotland some known and unknown with religious iconography and pattern formations. I focused on cyanotype negatives, simple drawing materials, water based paint mediums, and LiDar scanning.
